Blogger's Challenge #109 - Christmas!
Good Friday morning stampers! This week's Blogger's Challenge was to create something "Christmas". So, since I have my Christmas in July stamp camps coming up next Friday, I went with a card that we will probably be making in that class!
It's pretty straightforward and simple - I started with a piece of Real Red cardstock and ran it through my Big Shot with the Movers and Shapers Bigz XL Die. I used the Curly Label Window for this one since it matched the stamp I wanted to use for the greeting. The Christmas Punch stamp set is a new Level 2 Hostess set and ALL of the stamps in it co-ordinate with our punches!
Once I made the card base, I added a layer of Whisper White punched with the Eyelet Border Punch, then a layer of Old Olive Patterns Designer Series Paper. The left edge of the card base was stamped with the snowflake stamp from Christmas Punch with Whisper White Craft ink. I then tied a piece of Real Red Polka Dot Ribbon around the card to finish the outside.
The greeting was inked with two Stampin' Write Markers, Old Olive and Real Red by coloring directly on the stamp. I stamped it on Whisper White cardstock then punched it out with my Curly Label Punch. It's popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals and adhered inside the window so when you open the card, the greeting is on the inside as well! I love fun cards like this, it's a nice surprise for the recipient!
