Well, isn't it? Oh my gosh, I've seen these little totes on several of my stamping friends blogs and I just HAD to try my hand at one - It's just TOO cute! (I don't know whose idea it was originally, so if it's you, please let me know. I want to give credit where it's due. I did see it first on my friend Tiffany Bauer's Blog here.)And guess what? Anyway, the tote is made with two boxes created with the Bigz XL Box #2 Die and the Big Shot. You do need the extended cutting pads for this one and I used my Extended Crease Pad in place of my top Cutting Pad.
After I die cut two boxes out of Almost Amethyst cardstock, I cut off the small side flaps and assembled the boxes, not creasing the top flap.
I used the Tea Party Designer Series Paper to decorate the inside pieces then took my Large Oval Punch to punch a handle in just one box first, then attached them together with Sticky Strip. Once they were attached, I used the first handle hole as a guide and punched the other side. You should never punch through 2 pieces of cardstock at one time with your handheld punches, it can damage them.
Then I just decorated it up using a variety of cardstock, brads, ribbon and Big Shot Dies. The full list is at the bottom of this post.
