Happy Friday stampers! I hope you have had a great week enjoying this gorgeous Fall weather like we've had here. I've been able to get out a little this week, but most of it was spent stampin' up a storm in the Studio! There are a lot of events and classes going on this month and I want to make sure that I'm prepared for you to come stamp with me!
The card for today's sketch challenge is actually one you will be doing with me at my 1st ever HOPE STAMPS Breast Cancer Fundraiser.
It will be held on Saturday, October 24th from 10 am - 2 pm here in the Stampin' Studio!
Be sure to check out my events page on my Stampin' Up! website for more details on how you can help STAMP OUT Breast Cancer!
I loved the sketch for this challenge and it was the perfect starting point for designing my card here. I used Melon Mambo for my card base and layered it with a piece of Whisper White cardstock. The focal point layers are the same colors as are the punched greeting layers.
For my stamping, I used two stamp sets, Simple Friendship and Embrace Life. The beautiful butterfly with it's lovely trail came from Simple Friendship and the greeting from Embrace Life. All of the stamping was done with Melon Mambo ink and I accented the card with a piece of Pretty in Pink ribbon. The punches I used for the greeting layers are the Large Oval Punch and the Scalloped Oval Punch. Both the greeting and the butterfly were mounted on Stampin' Dimensionals.
All three of the cards you will make at HOPE STAMPS will be made with this color combination, but different styles and some additional stamp sets as well! You will love them! If you are on my mailing list, look for more information coming to you via e-mail this weekend!
For now, be sure to check out all the other Blogger's Challenge players creations using this sketch. I know they will inspire you to go stamp! I'll be back tomorrow with the latest sketch from Stamping 411 - so be sure to check in so you can play along!
Happy Friday!
~~Robin
