I'm thinking that being hopped up on cold medicine may just be good for the ol' mojo.
After laying on the couch most of the day yesterday, I couldn't stand it anymore and decided to get my behind into the studio and at least TRY to stamp something for this week's UDI Inspiration Challenge team. I had to bow out last week because I've been so stinkin' busy and truth be told, I just didn't want to miss two weeks in a row.
So, here ya go, my best effort.

What do you think?
Actually, as soon as I saw this inspiration picture, I knew exactly what I wanted to do. That was helpful since I feel so icky! Uggh!

The gold swirlys on the ornaments just screamed Baroque Motifs to me, so I pulled out that oft used stamp set and put it to work. I had a left over piece from Tara's swap back in August still sitting on my counter and it was perfect for my focal point here. It's stamped with Peaceful Wishes from the mini catalog and if you look real close, you can see the dove stamped with Sahara Sand behind the embossed words.
I kept it simple, using just Cherry Cobbler and Very Vanilla cardstock. The vanilla was sponged a bit with Cherry Cobbler ink. I stamped the images with Versamark and embossed them in Gold with my heat tool. Many Stampin' Dimensionals later and a Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding bow to finish it off and I was done! Good thing too, because I had to blow my nose!

You know what this card reminds me of? Those Christmas Card catalogs that come to businesses in the mail each year selling bulk, single layer Christmas Cards that can be personalized. When my Dad still owned his picture framing business, he used to get them every year and I was always amazed at how expensive those cards were. They were beautiful, but man, pricey! That's one of the things I love about Stampin' Up!, you can get the look for less. :)
