Stamping friends, take a look at this picture.
All of these came in a package in the mail for me today.
What do you see? Cards? Creativity? Cuteness?
Yes, all that and more.
Would you like to know what I see?
I see Kindness, Love, Compassion, Giving, Caring and Beauty.
Stamping friends, I did not make these cards - they are all the cards from a swap that I'd signed up for to highlight the Summer Mini Catalog items.
When my Dad died, I had to drop from both of my swap groups. As you can imagine, I couldn't even think about stamping with all that was going on with my family. Subsequently, I have no samples to show my clients. But that was the last thing on my mind just two weeks ago.
So today, I went out to check the mail and there was a Priority Box in there. From my dear friend Diana Gibbs. She was the host of one of the two swaps I had to drop from and to my utter amazement and surprise, she contacted all the swappers in this group and asked them if she could send me their card anyway.
And they agreed - each and every one of these beautiful ladies. And now look - I have samples! I'm having a hard time writing this post because I am crying from the kindness of these ladies. It may not seem like much to some, but this gift means the world to me. These ladies, most of them strangers to me, mean the world to me today. And once again, I am overwhelmed with gratitude.
May God bless each and every one of you!
~~Robin
When you give...you also will receive. And, Robin, I know you give continually to other stampers as well! Bless those sweet ladies, and the amazing Diana Gibbs!
ReplyDeleteRobin, I totally agree with Ronda. Thanks so much for what you give and I'm so glad you got this swap surprise back!! Great idea Diana!
ReplyDeleteI totally agree with Ronda! Robin, I'm so thankful for what you give and excited that those ladies gave back to you by sending you the swaps. Great idea Diana!!
ReplyDeleteThis little hobby of ours brings us together in ways we can't even begin to imagine.
ReplyDeleteThat's wonderful Robin and it couldn't have happened to a kinder or more deserving person. What goes around comes around. My thoughts and prayers are with you in this tough time.
ReplyDeleteThat Diana Gibbs character sure is sneaky. LOL. I love it!

I'm not surprised - you are just getting a little karma pay-back for your own kindness - it's nice to give but also so wonderful to receive others' gifts, eh?!
ReplyDeleteLove you!
Robin -- you are amazing and I can only imagine your pain ... a card to help bring you a smile if even for a moment is worth way more than the paper and time put into a swap. I'm so glad to know they've helped brighten just one of your days.
ReplyDeleteSee you at convention!
Hugs, your friend of a friend,
Rhonda Morgan (Di's upline!)
This is really sweet, you are truly loved and appreciated! I am sorry to hear about your loss. *hugs to you*
ReplyDeleteRonda nailed it perfectly - you give so much and are so deserving of this wonderful gift - bless Diana :-)
ReplyDeleteRobin, your kindness and incredibly inspiring spirit can't help but attract that type of reaction from people! You are an amazing role model! SU! couldn't have chosen anyone better to represent us on the AB! People love you and of course want to give back to all you have given others! Please find peace in the love and prayers of all of us! Take Care!

I can totally relate to the amazing stamping community. 2 yrs ago after my car accident I was waiting for short term disability to kick in and a fellow stamper I 've never met sent me a check for $500 to help with my mortgage until we had some cash. Never asking to be repaid. I too love being part of SU!and the amazing community of demonstrators. God Bless. The samples look awesome.
