So today, for his birthday, he's being treated!
He got to sleep in - probably his favorite part of the day since he's usually running on about 5 - 6 hours a night, and he got a special Super Hero breakfast made by his sidekick Emma herself. Here they are with the plate of warm, yummy goodness:
When Emma and I were shopping yesterday, we came across a Marvel Comics Super Hero Cupcake kit at Williams-Sonoma. Since Mark is such a comics buff - and we are taking him to see Captain America tonight - Emma thought it would be a great idea to make him his favorite blueberry muffins for breakfast using that kit.Here's a close up:
Iron Man and Captain America look like they are fighting their way through the struesel topping to save the day! HA!I was very impressed that Emma got up at 7:30 - all by herself, it is Summer you know - and made the muffins. She's turning into a great baker - hey, at least she gets something from me! :)
Don't they look yummy?!!Yep, that plate was devoured in just a few short minutes - way too good to just let them get cold!
So, we are headed out for a day of family fun. Dinner and a movie later and a fun surprise for Mark when we get home! Shhhh......don't tell.......I'll post pictures later, I promise!
