I am very glad to be back home again, sleeping in my own bed again and getting love from my dogs again. But, I sure do miss the house on the Maine coast.
Sigh.
I know vacations have to end but this one was so exactly what we needed, as a family and individually. You guys keep up with me here on the blog, my life is CRAZY! Probably not much different from many of you in reality. We are like ships passing in the channel much of the time, headed here, there and everywhere in between. So just to have 10 days to reconnect with my family again was priceless and if I could snap my fingers and go back today, I would do it.
But, I can't. AND I have LOTS of stamping to do since I leave for the Stampin' Up! Convention in exactly 7 days AND I have two card classes this week to boot! Nothin' like jumping back in with both feet, eh?
Speaking of card classes, here's a card I designed for my June classes. I did a few of these for Convention swaps too, so like yesterday, if you like it, find me early. I only have about 10 of them!
One of my favorite stamp sets is French Foliage and I used it here for a more summery feel with all the greens. Gumball Green, Lucky Limeade and Garden Green were a great combination with Early Espresso, Crumb Cake and Naturals White Cardstock.
The new Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon in Early Espresso and the Postage Stamp Punch gave it some elemental interest and I used Stampin' Write Markers on the greeting stamp from the Pretty Postage stamp set.
Here's a peek at the inside:
All I did there was add a Crumb Cake panel and stamp a few more leaf images in the bottom right corner. I could have left the inside without a panel, just stamping on the card base itself, but I liked the idea of the tone on tone cardstock for some extra richness. (and NO, it's not there to cover up a mistake. But it is a nice solution if it does ever happen to you!)
Hope you like the card today, I was pretty pleased with it, especially the color combo.
I'm headed out today for my pre-convention haircut and pedicure. Gotta feel good about both ends dontcha' know!
Have a great Tuesday everyone! Come stamp with me at the firehouse on Thursday night - 7 pm, $15 class fee, all supplies included - just bring your smile and a friend!

It's great to get-away for a respite...I so miss my dogs when I'm away too! Love the colors for the card.
