Flower Fresh 12 x 12 Layout

I am so ready for SPRING, aren't you?
When I created this layout for a 12" x 12" swap at our Leadership Conference, the colors just made me long for sunshine and warm weather. 
Thank goodness we were in Orlando, Florida for conference - I got a few days of that at least!
We're headed up to Lake Placid, NY next Wednesday for Emma's team's Eastern Sectional Skating Championship - I'm gonna need all the warm springy thoughts I can get. It's currently in the negative numbers at night. Brrrr.....

My layout is a 2 page spread and it's based on a pretty Christmas layout my friend Selene Kempton gifted me with in December. I used her layout as my "sketch" and took it from there, using a few products from the new Spring Mini Catalog and some of our soon retiring In-Colors. 

Here's page 1 (left side):

The color combo is Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Pool Party, Wisteria Wonder, Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade. Springy, right? 

The large flower accent on this page was made with the Floral Framelits Dies and my Big Shot. After I cut it out, I folded it in half across every dip of the petals, then folded it in half across every petal point. This gave it definition and by sponging the peak folds, it really made it pop out. 
The Calypso Coral Flowers in the center are from the Pop-Up Posies Kit and I layered them with a 7/8" Scallop Punch of Pool Party Designer Paper and a Wisteria Wonder Brad. 

The little flower accent in the bottom left corner is made with one of the cool Sale-A-Bration Buttons in Calypso Coral, which matches the Ruffled Ribbon on the right hand side. 
The strip of Designer paper across the bottom is from the Summer Smooches pack.

The leaf die cut is from the Secret Garden Bundle which includes the stamp set and the matching framelits. I stamped the leaf on Whisper White with Lucky Limeade and used the framelit to cut it out - so much easier than handcutting!
It's adhered to one of the kraft labels from the Pop-Up Posies kit which makes a great journaling block. 

This was such a fun layout to put together - I hope all the gals in my swap enjoyed it. Hey, we can put photos of ourselves at Leadership on this one and actually be in our own scrapbooks for a change! LOL!
