It's beginning to look a LOT like Spring around here and my studio is no exception!
Thanks for stopping by my blog today on our RemARKable Blog Tour.
You've just come from the very talented Anne Matasci's blog - Maui Stamper. As always, I know Anne had some gorgeous samples for you!
Here are my offerings for the Best of Flowers stamp set - this was one of my favorites of this series so far and I really had a great time making my projects!
First up is the sweet Hydrangea stamp:
I used the new Sneak Peek Epic Day Designer Series Paper as my starting point for this vintage style card. The hydrangea stamp was inked in Versamark and stamped onto a piece of the Designer Paper, then embossed with Pool Party embossing powder. I then used a sponge dauber and added Crumb Cake ink over the image to make it pop! The Designer Paper was torn across the top and sponged as well then layered on a stamped and crumpled piece of Very Vanilla cardstock.
That was layered on a piece of Crumb Cake cardstock that had been stamped with the Hydrangea image first in Crumb Cake ink, then dry embossed with the Big Shot and the Honeycomb embossing folder.
See the cool tape at the top?
It's a little piece of the Epic Day Washi Tape - also a sneak peek! Love this new embellishment!
I layered all of those pieces on a folded Calypso Coral card base then tied a piece of Very Vanilla Seam Binding around it in a bow. The Antique Brad was wrapped around the bow center and secured with a Glue Dot.
Did I say how much I LOVE this card??
Yep, I do!
Next up is a great black, yellow and white combo with the single daisy stamp:
The daisy background is done with Staz-On on Glossy White cardstock. I stamped three extra daisies on a Glossy White scrap then punched them out with the 1 1/4" Circle Punch. They were colored in with the Daffodil Delight and Soft Suede Stampin' Write Markers and popped up on Stampin' Dimensionals.
The ribbon is the cute Basic Black Scalloped Polka-Dot Ribbon - so adorable! I used the Vine Street embossing folder from Sale-A-Bration to emboss the Whisper White background and they layered it all on a Daffodil Delight card base.
Next is that gorgeous hydrangea again (just couldn't put it down!):
This all white beauty just makes me smile! I inked the stamp image with Wisteria Wonder and Wild Wasabi Stampin' Write Markers. The flower is dotted with just a touch of Elegant Eggplant as well.
Lots of Stampin' Dimensionals on this one and an embossed background done with the Fancy Fan embossing folder.
The ribbon treatment is done with the Wisteria Wonder Ruffled Grograin. I so love this ribbon and hope it's not gonna retire!!
The little tag is stamped with the sneak peek stamp set A Round Array. I punched it out with the 7/8" Scalloped Circle Punch and tied it to the ribbon with some Whisper White Baker's Twine.
So, one more card for you - a bonus!
Here, I used the mini Upsy Daisy stamp in Rose Red ink. Rose Red, Certainly Celery and Whisper White is such a fresh, springy color combo. But enjoy it while you can - Rose Red and Certainly Celery are retiring!
I stamped a background of daisies in Pink Pirouette and added a double ribbon treatment of the Pink Pirouette Two Tone ribbon and Certainly Celery Taffeta ribbon.
Those ribbon layers are all tied up with some White Baker's Twine and a Vintage Faceted Button.
Sweet and simple!
